(No More) Apathy Sitting down in your easy chair Reading the paper Dog lying at your feet Television talks about destruction But you don’t care You’re living kind of sweet And the people sitting on the doorstep Death waiting all around The people living in the doorways Faces to the crowd What you looking for When you’re standing by the open door And the world outside is staring in Ain’t it full of sin No more The world outside doesn’t bother you It’s an image brought in by the tube Imagination’s all you see When you look outside You see the see And the seagulls The seas of humanity are huge The sailors and deckhands That craft the world that we once knew Are falling by the pride of governments Like refugees who sink to win Their freedom is a costly thing Do you see them dying in the promised land No more Apathy won’t get you nowhere in the world of today You’re caught in the middle No escape You’ve got a choice to make Better make it soon One way or another You’ll end up shot Out in the open air With eyes that watch the cameras glare In living rooms and bars And there you go Dying in the promised land Sitting down in your easy chair Staring blindly Dog lying at your feet You opened your eyes To the world outside And the world came rushing in To meet you like a riot Forced out in the streets Of a bombed-out town Where no one sees the government Do you see them dying Ain’t it full of sin No more Take aim Aim taken Fire Fired Destroyed.

The Waiting World Nothing bothers me at midnight The darkness hides the waiting world And like the man upon the ladder The truth is never felt or heard The shadow waits upon the wall For its owner to return The clock that measures time in minutes Shows the time that we all fear And though the proof is there before us We think that we have learned Eternity is all it shows us Its hand will never turn When the sun never sets on a waiting world And the shadows of death speak their words Loud and clear though never heard In the gallery of lives lost His picture hangs upon the wall If his picture were a painting Its thousand words speak against war When the sun never sets on a waiting world And the shadows of death speak their words The clock that measures time in minutes Shows the time that we all fear Eternity is all it shows us Its hand will never turn And the sun never sets on a waiting world And the shadows of death speak their words And the sun never sets on a waiting world And the shadows of death speak their words Loud and clear though never heard The sun never sets on a waiting world

The Child That’s Left Inside When I was growing up at home A child I guess I never understood A world I didn’t know Was crying to be heard Above the hunger and the fear In time I came to understand the prayers And to this day they pray them still The pictures that we see Don’t show all that they should It’s time we taste a bitter pill I don’t want to die Are the cries the children hide Maybe there’s time to save a few And both you and I Have the child that’s left inside Can’t you hear it calling you? Tell me I’m dreaming The pictures change from day to day But the hurt can still be seen in their eyes I wish that I could just throw it all away Relieve the anguish in their minds If I could only give them hope And find a way to bring together all mankind Maybe then we’d wipe away the tears That shouldn’t fill a child’s eyes I don’t want to die Are the cries the children hide Maybe there’s time to save a few And both you and I Have the child that’s left inside Can’t you hear it calling you? Tell me I’m dreaming

Like A Warrior I’ve been looking at the world From a different point of view I’ve been thinking of me While I’ve been praying for you And I hope we can find The answers to all of our problems You know that life comes along And life passes by The people in this world Are bound to realize That to live out our lives We have to live united Cause I’ve been fighting for a chance A chance to survive And I’m fed up with excuses I’m fed up with the lies We’re fighting a war And we win or we die In the long run I see so much injustice And I just cannot see The reason we sit back And let it all be It’s like you don’t want to live You don’t want to be free Is that what you’re saying? I want to live my life like a warrior I want to live my life for a cause We all feel so useless In the world of today We speak, then we scream But no one hears what we say It’s like all of the love In this world’s gone away And we can’t find a meaning I see people around me Just full of despair They’re ready to jump And we don’t even care I’m telling you one thing There’s someone who there You have to live your life Like a warrior You have to live your life You have to live your life For a cause You have to live your life I live my life like a warrior Some problems won’t fade away Do you see what I’m trying to say You have to live your life Like a warrior You have to live your life You have to live your life For a cause You have to live your life Like a warrior You have to live your life You have to live your life For a cause I’ve been looking at the world From a different point of view I’ve been thinking of me While I’ve been praying for you And I hope we can find The answers to all of our problems Cause I’ve been fighting for a chance A chance to survive And I’m fed up with excuses I’m fed up with the lies We’re fighting a war And we win or we die In the long run You have to live your life Like a warrior You have to live your life You have to live your life For a cause You have to live your life

about

Had To Be Said is an EP of songs that have sociopolitical subjects. They didn't really fit well with the other projects I have put together, so I decided that they should all be on one EP.
